XC-42 and XC-45: larger bathing platforms, more hull windows and teak deck only on request
The XC-45 and XC-42 receive an extensive update and prices are also reduced. In-house exhibition and anniversary celebration next weekend

Six years ago, the Danes from X-Yachts caused quite a stir in the market with the announcement of a more cruising and comfort-orientated XC series. The first boats in the line were the XC-45 in 2008 and then the conceptually almost identical XC-42 as a slightly shrunken version. The launch was immediately crowned with success. The XC-45 immediately won the coveted title of European Yacht of the Year in the luxury cruiser category.

X-Yachts has now revisited the two models and modified the concepts. In the new MK-II models, the folding bathing platforms will be significantly larger and also lower. This should make it easier to access the water. And: a storage compartment for the life raft is now designated close to the water. There are now larger storage compartments in the cockpit, which should also be easier to access. In addition, the revised models have more and, above all, larger hull windows for more light below deck.

The shipyard has also modernised the interiors considerably. The new styling with dark-stained mahogany wood is intended to create an even more nave-like ambience. LED lighting and indirect lighting create the right atmosphere on board. X-Yachts has also remodelled the galley on both yachts. There are now larger storage spaces in which a microwave oven or coffee machine can also be installed. Both boats are available in layouts with two or three cabins. There are also two toilet compartments built into each.

What is new is that the decks of both the XC-45 and its smaller sister XC-42 are no longer covered with teak from the shipyard - the precious wood covering is now an option at extra cost. As a result, X-Yachts has been able to reduce costs. The ex-shipyard base price for the XC-45 is now 473,620 euros (including VAT, excluding sails). At its market launch in 2008, the 45 still cost 490,280 euros. The XC-42 is priced at 398,650 euros (2008: 412,940 euros).

Open house at X-Yachts next weekend

To mark the 35th anniversary of the company, X-Yacht is inviting all interested parties and customers to the open days in Haderslev next weekend on 29 and 30 August. The following models will be on display for viewing in the shipyard's own harbour: XP-33, XP-38, XP-44, XC-35, XC-42 and XC-50. On Saturday evening, the shipyard will celebrate the anniversary with a large barbecue and entertainment. Customers and interested parties can also arrive on their own keel. In this case, please register with Marianne Toft Hansen (mh@x-yachts.com).
